Football with Friends ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile and web application for organizing amateur football matches. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

When you create an account or use the app, we may collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, and/or phone number, depending on how you sign in.
• Profile photo: if you choose to upload one.
• Match participation data: matches you sign up for, attendance, and player stats you vote on.
• Authentication data: session tokens stored securely on your device.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account.
• To display your profile and match history to other users of the same group.
• To enable match sign-ups, attendance tracking, and stats voting.
• To send you important notices about matches you have joined (if notifications are enabled).

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Sign-In Methods

We offer the following sign-in options:

• Google: we receive your name, email, and Google account ID to create your account. We do not access your Google contacts, Drive, or other Google services.
• Apple: we receive your name and email (or a private relay email) from Apple.
• Phone number: we store your phone number and use it for one-time password authentication.
• Email and password: we store your email and a hashed (never plain-text) password.

4. Photos and Camera

We request access to your photo library and camera only when you choose to update your profile picture. Photos are uploaded to our secure storage and are not shared with third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Turso database hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure storage and are never transmitted beyond the app and our API.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the app (Profile > Delete Account). When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile information, match stats, votes, and any uploaded photos. Match sign-up records are anonymized to preserve match history integrity. You may also contact us to request deletion (see section 9).

7. Sharing With Third Parties

We share data with the following services solely to operate the app:

• Cloudflare Workers: hosts our API.
• Turso / libSQL: stores application data.
• Google OAuth: processes sign-in when you choose Google as your login method.
• Apple Sign In: processes sign-in when you choose Apple as your login method.

No data is shared with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics platforms.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for removal.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
